Just Barley Green Powder

Just Barley Green Powder is the barley grass (Hoedeum vulgare)   seedling of the barley plant. Dr. Yoshihide Hagiwara, MD spent 30 years in scientific research, of which an extract is now available.

You might be asking yourself, what scientific papers has he published and why is this barley  extract is better than any other product on the market today.

First, let's look at what Dr. Hagiwara is all about.

Dr. Hagiwara is a very prominent doctor, researcher, inventor and scientist in Japan. His nutritional and pharmacological research, ideas and creations have brought Dr. Hagiwara numerous awards, and honors, and his concern about ways to improve the health and well-being of his people has crossed international borders.

Dr. Hagiwara has developed a number of synthetic drugs, including an anti-fungal agent and other compounds which are currently in use and were patented under his name. He relates that about 15 years into his research, he became increasingly aware that most of the synthetic drugs that he developed were primarily for acute conditions, and while they were very effective in alleviating these acute conditions, they did not help to prevent the problems from developing in the first place. He also observed that when treating a patient with a typical synthetic drug, that the condition would usually be improved, but often undesirable side effects would crop up. A good example are the steroid drugs which are used for everything from bee stings to arthritis. You can't stay on steroid drugs forever because they create their own problems and major problems to be sure.

So Dr. Hagiwara decided there has to be a better way. There just HAS to be a better way. And there was....a natural preventive approach which led to more than 13 years of intensive research on over 150 different plants, grains, and grasses. Dr. Hagiwara discovered that barley was not only an excellent source, but one of the richest sources, of all of the broad spectrum of nutrients required by man for growth, repair, and well-being. Barley has been cultivated in China for hundreds of years, and was used in Ancient Greece, Rome, and by the Lake Dwellers of Ancient Switzerland. Despite its medicinal and nutritional qualities, however, barley has been used primarily in this country for the brewing of beer. Fermenting barley results in malt, which in turn is used in brewing.

Dr. Hagiwara's research and efforts to find a natural, organic, nutritional source that would have enzymatic action to counteract aging and disease was recognized by the International Foundation for Preventive Medicine at its second annual Conference on Reversing the Aging Process in November, 1981, in New York. (Let's Live, March, 1982.

Let's now answer the question about scientific papers has he published.

Dr. Hagiwara achieved approximately 300 unique and outstanding discoveries and inventions in the fields of medical science, pharmacology, health foods and cosmetics. He was honored to receive the Drug and Medical Meritorious Service Award from the Japanese Minister of Health and Welfare in 1994 for his years of research and contributions to helping improve the health of mankind. His desire was always to see that his important information to go beyond Japan to the entire world. He realized that when it came to scientific research, to impact the world, it would be best to conduct research in the United States. For this reason he graciously accepted an invitation in 1991 to serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Toxicology at the University of California at Davis.  He stated that he was very gratified that his earlier studies about the power of barley leaf extract have been confirmed once again through U.S. research projects.

Several other highlights in Dr. Hagiwara’s distinguished career included:

  • 1949: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacology, Kumamoto University

In a speech given about Barley Green in 1997 in Canada, Dr. Hagiwara  spoke about the future health for Americans and Canadians when he made a  speech to about a “green revolution.

He said, “It is my dream to have Barley Green in every home in North America.  It is clear to me that in order to succeed in our “green revolution” we will need to recruit and equip a “green army”.  But, this will be a different kind of army.  Instead of a conquering army, it will need to be a serving army.  Instead of a violent army, it will need to be a peaceful army.  Instead of a hateful army, it will need to be a loving army.  Instead of a destructive army, it will need to be a healing army. "

Why Barley Green is Good for
Every Person on the Planet

Our ancestors ate only raw foods.  In our digestive track would designed to break down and convert Dole's role foods into living tissue. As time passed, man began to heat, the harder parts of plants.  So they would become softer and easier to eat, and "cooking" became part of our vocabulary.  However, green plants were still the major part of our food supply.

It was not until the 20th century that we have begun to makes chemical processing and food production, and was not until we began to re-sign and process a new to dance out of our foods that "new" diseases began to appear.  Diseases a world hadn't been aware of before  Diseases of the immune system the generating diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart disease, arteriosclerosis; disease brought about by heavy metals in the atmosphere and, of course in increase in incidence of cancer.

The Western world is rediscovering and health product of the Eastern societies. Since the Japanese had the longest life spans in any industrial nation, that we learn from them, adding the master their knowledge and to the best of our own.

As unlikely a food as is Fresh Green Barley Powder sounds, it is a pleasant-tasting  concentrate that restores to the average diet minerals, vitamins, amino acids and perhaps other food factors that had not yet been elucidated.

illnesses are in do buying in balance of minerals, enzymes and items.  Such inane balance can be caused directly, by the introduction of radiation chemicals, inorganic drugs and other pollutants that are everywhere in the modern world. Or it can be brought on directly in the diet.  both causes act in combination.

Our reliance on technology as a substitute in mental attitudes towards health reinforces this in balance, creating a vicious cycle.

A Short History About Barley Grass

Agronomists place this ancient cereal grass as being cultivated as early as 7000 BC. History records that the Roman gladiators ate Barley for strength and stamina and the West was the first known area for the Barley grain it produced. There are astounding amounts of vitamins and minerals found in green Barley leaves. The leaves have an ability to absorb nutrients from the soil, so when Barley leaves are 12-14 inches high, they contain many vitamins, minerals, and proteins necessary for the human diet, plus chlorophyll.

These are easily assimilated throughout the digestive tract, giving our bodies instant access to vital nutrients. These nutrients include potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, beta carotene, Vitamin B-1, Vitamin B-2, Vitamin B-6, Vitamin C, folic acid, and pantothenic acid. It has been discovered that green Barley juice contains 11 times the calcium in cows' milk, nearly five times the iron in spinach, 7 times the Vitamin C in oranges, and 80 mg. of Vitamin B-12 per hundred grams. Barley also contains a-glucan, a fiber found in oat bran and reported to reduce cholesterol levels.

The root contains the alkaloid hordenine, which stimulates peripheral blood circulation and has been used as a bronchiodilator for bronchitis. Barley bran, like wheat bran, may be effective in protecting against the risk of cancer. Barley is a widely cultivated grain that is used as a food and in the brewing process. The part utilized is the grain which is left when the Barley hull is removed. Along with this, it is an additive for human and animal cereal foods. It also makes a flavorful flour for use in baking breads and muffins.
